Photography Workshop with Sitoded – Erzurum, Turkey (2021)
In 2021, I collaborated with Sitoded, a non-governmental organization based in Erzurum, in northeastern Turkey. Sitoded is committed to supporting youth development and strengthening civil society through cultural and educational initiatives.
As part of this collaboration, I led a photography workshop for young people, designed to encourage participants to explore and reflect on the human rights conditions within their own city. Through hands-on guidance in visual storytelling, the workshop became a space for dialogue, self-expression, and awareness-building through the lens of photography.
The project culminated in a public exhibition held at a local cultural hub in Erzurum, showcasing the participants' work and perspectives. The exhibition offered the community an opportunity to engage with the lived experiences and observations of local youth, using photography as a powerful tool for social reflection.
